In this guide
A lot of people search for a rental car in Albania without a deposit, and we understand why. Having 300 or 500 euros blocked on your card for the whole holiday is annoying, and some people travel with a debit card or no card at all.
Many of our cars can be rented with no security deposit. Here is how it works and how to find them.
How to spot a car without a deposit
On our cars page, cars without a deposit have a purple “No security deposit” label on the photo. On the booking page you can also see the deposit (or no deposit) in the price summary before you confirm.
What you pay and when
Nothing is charged online. You pay the rental price when you pick up the car, in cash or by card, depending on the payment options shown for that car. With a no-deposit car, nothing extra is blocked on your card.
So what if something happens to the car?
No deposit doesn’t mean no responsibility. The protection plan you choose decides how much you pay if the car is damaged, and with our zero-excess options that can be nothing. Things that no protection covers, like drunk driving or someone not on the contract driving, are explained in our rental terms.
What you still need to bring
Your driving licence (held for at least a year, minimum age 21) and your passport or ID card. That’s it for a no-deposit car.
Want one? Open the cars page, pick your dates and look for the purple label. Prices start from €15 per day.
