In this guide
Looking for a cheap rental car in Tirana? Our cars start from €15 per day. But the daily price is only part of the story. A rental can look cheap online and get expensive at the desk, so here is how to keep the total low, and what to watch for.
Book a few days ahead
The cheapest cars go first, especially from June to September. If you know your dates, book early. Cancellation is free until the pick-up time, so you are not taking a risk by booking now.
Rent for longer
On many of our cars the daily price drops when you rent for longer. Try your dates on the booking page and change the drop-off by a day or two. Sometimes a week costs barely more than five days.
Travel outside July and August
Prices follow the season. May, June, September and October are cheaper, the sea is still warm and the roads are quieter. Winter is the cheapest of all and a good time for Tirana, Berat and the mountains.
Look at the total, not the daily price
This is where cheap rentals catch people out. Before you book anywhere, check these things:
- The excess. If the car gets a scratch, how much do you pay? A low price with a high excess can cost you a lot. Our protection plans reduce it to zero.
- The deposit. Some companies block several hundred euros on your card. Many of our cars have no deposit at all.
- Fees at the desk. Late-night pick-up, extra driver, child seat. With us every one of these is shown in the total before you book.
- Fuel. Ours is full to full. You get a full tank and bring it back full.
Pick up where it suits you
You can pick up at Tirana Airport or in the city. Picking up during office hours (08:00–20:00) avoids the out-of-hours fee of €0.00.
See which cars are free for your dates on the cars page. The price you see is the price you pay at pick-up.
